About the Role

The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing employee payroll accounting, transactions, and reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee employee payroll accounting, transactions, and reporting activities and all validations thereof.
  • Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately.
  • Assist in payroll calculations, deductions, insurances, emoluments, and tax filings.
  • Review and assist with data processed by Administrators.
  • Uphold a professional company standard within dealing with employees related to payroll issues.
  • Adhere to strict payroll guidelines on selection of variance discrepancies within the payroll system.
  • Assist in reviews and plans within the payroll department.
  • Maintain a balanced checking and authorisation process specified by Payroll Manager.
  • Assist Financial Manager by maintaining the correct GL allocation on the payroll system or any function given at any point of time.
  • Balance EFT batch payments per team given in the payroll team.
  • Manage daily and monthly tasks by ensuring deadlines are met by the business and the team.
  • Communicate clearly to business and team with amendments within the payroll department.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • VIP Payroll Administration certificate, phase 1,2,3.
  • Diploma/degree in Finance Qualification or Payroll Qualification.
  • Sage 300 People Payroll Certificate.
  • 7 Years experience in specific working area Payroll on VIP Premier and 300 Sage People systems.
  • Computer literacy, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, VIP payroll Premier and 300 Sage People systems.
