About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand is seeking a skilled and experienced People & Culture Skills Development Coordinator to join our Head Office team. The successful candidate will support the implementation, coordination, and administration of bursary, work-integrated learning (WIL), learnership, and learner development programmes, ensuring effective execution, compliance, and tracking in line with our People Transformation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer bursary programmes in line with approved frameworks, policies, and criteria.
- Coordinate bursary application processes, documentation, and selection logistics.
- Track bursar academic progress, funding disbursements, and contractual obligations.
- Maintain accurate bursary records and ensure audit-ready documentation.
- Support placement and integration of bursars into workplace opportunities where applicable.
- Coordinate Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) placements in line with agreements with academic institutions.
- Liaise with Learning Partners and Line Manager to facilitate learner placement and workplace exposure.
- Track learner attendance, progress, and completion of workplace requirements.
- Ensure required documentation, agreements, and evaluations are completed and stored.
- Provide administrative support to ensure learners receive structured and compliant workplace experience.
- Support the rollout and administration of learnerships, internships, and graduate programmes.
- Coordinate onboarding, contracts, stipends, and learner documentation.
- Track learner progress, completion, and absorption into the business.
- Ensure alignment with SETA requirements and BBBEE reporting needs.
- Support SDF with WSP and ATR data collection and submission processes.
- Maintain learner records in line with SETA and legislative requirements.
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits and verification processes.
- Act as a coordination point between learners, institutions, SETAs, and internal stakeholders.
- Support relationships with academic institutions and training providers.
- Liaise with Learning Partners and Line Manager to ensure smooth learner placement and support.
Requirements
- Matric or Senior Certificate
- Diploma in Human Resources, Education or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in skills development, bursary administration, learnerships, or WIL programme coordination
- Working knowledge of Skills Development Act, BBBEE Codes (Skills Development element), and SETA frameworks
