Our client in the Health Industry is looking to hire a Registered Theatre Nurse.

Skills and Responsibilities
• Practice patient care according to his/her Scope of Practice and assumes total responsibility for these activities.
• Be active in preparing the theatre, and replenishment of stock, consignment and instrument replenishment of the operating room allocated to for a procedure list.
• To take responsibility for own nursing actions and professional conduct.
• Contributes to the holistic care of patients.
• Damp dust your unit before your days task start.
• Check that the scrub area is clean and properly stocked.
• Practices the principles of infection prevention and all Standard precautions.
• Compliance with documentation policy.
• Ensures that all documentation is maintained accurately and timeously reflecting theatre procedures and care in a chronologically manner.

Requirements
• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
• Relevant registration at SANC as Registered Nurse
• Diploma in General Nursing
• A Diploma or Certificate in Operating theatre technique would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years as an experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Floor nurse and Anesthetic experience essential.
• Experience within private hospital environment advantageous.
• Skilled in all basic nursing procedures as well as procedures specific to the operating theatre environment.
