About the Role
The Route Services Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the route services team, ensuring the safe and efficient management of the highway and its users. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage a team of Patrol Drivers, Communications Clerks, and Fleet Administration Assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure shift handover / vehicle handover report is completed
- Conduct proper patrols on the highway to determine damage to the road and road furniture
- Respond to SOS calls and serious accidents/ incidents that lead to or may lead to closure of the N1N4 Bakwena Highway
- Prepare and present all relevant reports as prescribed
- Ensure shift rosters comply with legal obligations are drawn up and adhered to
- Maintain vehicles in a safe and company image-friendly manner
- Motivate subordinate staff through job enrichment, training, development, and proper internal communication
- Coordinate call centre staff functions and workload to ensure professional service delivery
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- Managerial certificate (advantageous)
- Unendorsed Code 08 Drivers License
- At least 1-2 years related experience in a similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal relationship skills
