About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team at our Rivonia, Johannesburg office. As a crucial member of our finance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring the financial health of our operations within our B2B division. With a focus on E-commerce sales, your expertise will be instrumental in driving business growth, customer acquisition levels, and overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records and transactions on a daily basis
- Ensure accuracy in financial documentation, reconciliations, and reporting
- Collaborate with the sales and operations team to analyse financial data and optimize budgeting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Process invoices, payments, and track expenses
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Adhere to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other legal financial obligations
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal audits
- Recommend financial optimizations and support strategic business decision-making
Requirements
- Minimum qualification of Grade 12
- A Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Advanced levels of computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office
- Experience with accounting software and databases
