About the Role
As a Business Solutions Analyst in our Sandton office, you will play a critical role in identifying, framing, and solving complex business problems. You will work at the intersection of business strategy and technology, helping stakeholders clearly articulate challenges, define meaningful outcomes, and design solutions that create measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
- Problem Identification and Framing
- Partner with business stakeholders to uncover, define, and frame business problems before exploring solutions
- Facilitate discovery workshops and sessions to surface root causes, pain points, and opportunity areas
- Map current-state processes and systems to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Conduct feasibility and impact assessments to evaluate and prioritise the problems most worth solving
- Solution Design and Development
- Develop clear solution proposals including functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams
- Translate well-framed problems into actionable technical and business specifications aligned to organisational goals
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design, build, and validate solutions that meet defined outcomes
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment and shared understanding
- Facilitate workshops, presentations, and collaborative sessions to communicate findings, explore options, and obtain commitment
- Project Delivery and Implementation
- Conduct project planning by defining scope, success metrics, timelines, and resource requirements
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of solutions
- Provide hands-on support during implementation and post-go-live phases to ensure stability and adoption
- Change Enablement
- Assess the impact of proposed solutions on business processes, team structures, and end-users
- Develop and deliver training materials, conduct sessions, and provide ongoing support to facilitate smooth transitions and user adoption
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred), Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Business Solutions Analyst or in a similar problem-solving and delivery role
- Demonstrated ability to identify, frame, and decompose complex, ambiguous business problems
- Strong analytical and systems thinking skills, with confidence navigating uncertainty and incomplete information
