About the Role
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join our small, expert team in Somerset West, who can take ownership of procurement strategy and execution to support complex, high-stakes engineering projects. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle: End-to-End Procurement Management
- Source and procure materials, precision-machined components, consumables, and services
- Secure the best commercial terms across pricing, quality, delivery, and support
- Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with key suppliers
- Strategic Sourcing Decisions
- Evaluate suppliers and sourcing channels based on technical and commercial requirements
- Operational Procurement Execution: Manage RFQs, purchase orders, delivery tracking, logistics, claims, and invoicing
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, finance, project management, and quality teams
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in procurement or supply chain (preferably in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment)
- Strong understanding of sourcing within technical/engineering sectors
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of Import/Export regulations and INCOTERMS
