About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Code 10 Driver with Professional Driving Permit (PDP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving large trucks and excellent knowledge of road traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate an 8-ton truck for collections and deliveries
  • Transport goods to customers and suppliers according to scheduled routes
  • Load and offload goods safely and securely
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete pre-trip checklists
  • Ensure cargo is properly secured before departure
  • Maintain accurate delivery notes, trip sheets, and logbooks
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, or breakdowns immediately
  • Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies
  • Keep the vehicle clean and in a roadworthy condition
  • Provide professional customer service during deliveries and collections

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) preferred
  • Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence
  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP/PrDP)
  • Minimum 35 years’ experience driving an 8-ton truck
  • Sound knowledge of road traffic regulations and transport legislation
  • Good knowledge of local and regional routes
