About the Role

The Junior QC position at WENZ supports quality assurance and control processes in offshore or oil & gas operations, ensuring that materials, equipment, and workmanship meet strict industry and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with inspection of materials, welds, coatings, and mechanical components
  • Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections (pipes, structures, valves, etc.)
  • Support NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) activities (e.g., UT, MPI, DPI – as required)
  • Verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and codes (API, ASME, ISO)
  • Record and maintain quality documentation (inspection reports, test records)
  • Identify non-conformances and assist in corrective action processes
  • Work alongside engineers, inspectors, and offshore crews
  • Ensure adherence to HSE and quality procedures on-site/offshore
  • Assist in audits and client inspections

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or related field
  • Basic knowledge of oil & gas equipment and inspection processes
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures and documentation
  • Familiarity with codes and standards is an advantage
  • Willingness to work in offshore or harsh environments
