About the Role
Manpower Group is seeking an experienced Conventional Turner Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating conventional lathes and milling machines, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional lathes and milling machines
- Interpret technical drawings and manufacture components accordingly
- Work from samples when required
- Maintain accuracy in tolerances, speeds, and feeds
- Use measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow safety procedures and workshop best practices
Requirements
- Matric with relevant machining or engineering qualification
- Trade Test or Red Seal advantageous but not essential
- Proven experience on conventional lathes is essential
- Milling experience highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good communication skills and reliable work ethic
- Ability to work independently and within a team
