Forklift Operator
Location: Meyerton
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Safely operate forklift(s) to move raw materials, supplies, barrels, finished product, pallets etc.
Load/unload delivery trucks, move goods between warehouse, production, storage, dispatch.
Inspect goods received; check for damage or discrepancies; report issues.
Stack and store products in correct locations; maintain warehouse organization.
Adhere to inventory control practices (FIFO, stock rotation).
Maintain forklift equipment; follow safety procedures; perform routine maintenance checks.
Ensure clean, safe working environment; observe health, safety, quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid forklift license / certificate; experience operating forklifts in manufacturing or warehouse.
Physical ability to lift/move items (up to required kg, e.g. 25kg+).
Basic record keeping; ability to read documents (delivery notes, labels).
Awareness of safety regulations.
Reliability, punctuality, ability to work shifts if required.
