About the Role

The Human Resources Practitioner (Plant) role is a critical component of our operations, ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation and maintaining accurate HR documentation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, coordinating interviews and inductions, and providing support to line managers on industrial relations matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with SA labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EE, BBBEE, Skills Development, MIBCO)
  • Maintain audit-ready HR documentation and EE files
  • Support DoEL inspections and reporting
  • Manage full recruitment lifecycle (RJF approvals onboarding)
  • Coordinate interviews, shortlisting, and verification checks
  • Liaise with agencies and ensure EE compliance in hiring
  • Support internships & apprenticeships (MERSETA aligned)
  • Handle disciplinary processes, investigations, and hearings
  • Represent the company at CCMA (with HR Specialist)
  • Support line managers on IR matters and best practices
  • Manage performance reviews, counselling, and probation tracking
  • Facilitate exit processes and conduct exit interviews
  • Compile monthly HR reports
  • Coordinate union engagements and shop steward meetings
  • Oversee HR documentation, inductions, and plant HR admin

  • Grade 12 National Diploma in HR / Industrial Psychology (advantageous)
