About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulder Setter to join our client’s team in South Africa. As an Injection Moulder Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and preparing injection moulding machines for production runs, conducting machine start-ups and process adjustments to ensure product quality, and troubleshooting moulding defects and machine-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare injection moulding machines for production runs.
- Install and remove moulds safely and efficiently.
- Conduct machine start-ups and process adjustments to ensure product quality.
- Monitor production processes and make necessary parameter changes.
- Troubleshoot moulding defects and machine-related issues.
- Ensure production output meets daily targets and quality specifications.
- Perform first-off inspections and quality checks on manufactured products.
- Ensure correct material usage and loading of raw materials.
- Minimise machine downtime and scrap levels.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Complete production and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Assist with preventative maintenance activities when required.
- Train machine operators on correct operating procedures where necessary.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- 5 years’ experience as an Injection Moulder Setter in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with plastic injection moulding machines.
- Knowledge of mould changing procedures and machine setup.
- Understanding of quality control processes and defect identification.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work shifts and overtime when required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
