About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team at Greys Recruitment. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks and supporting our clients with their financial needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations
- Process journals and financial transactions
- Assist with month-end reporting
- Support VAT and statutory compliance processes
- Monitor stock and cash controls
- Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1–3 years’ accounting or finance experience
- Previous retail or filling station experience will be advantageous
- Knowledge of:
- VAT
- Reconciliations
- Cashbook processing
- Proficient in:
- Microsoft Excel
- Accounting systems (Sage, etc)
