About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic management support couple to join our family-owned 4* mountain nature reserve near Nelspruit. As a dynamic couple with mature characters, good people skills, and a passion for hospitality, you will be responsible for assisting in all areas of lodge management when senior management is on leave. You will live on the property and enjoy accommodation & utilities (electric/gas/water/internet in reasonable usage).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lodge manager in all areas of lodge management
- Manage front of house and service
- Oversee lodge staff management
- Handle reservations and office administration
- Provide marketing support
- Lead client nature experiences (nature drives, guided walks, hiking/MTB trails)
- Support land management under farm manager
- Maintain guest activity equipment, trails, and locations
- Assist with general maintenance
Requirements
- Valid Drivers license
- Minimum 2 years working experience in 4* or 5* lodge environment
- Tourism/hospitality qualifications
- Staff management experience
- Food & Beverage Experience
- Computer literate with knowledge of Nightsbridge booking system
- Good administration skills and attention to detail
- Hosting experience and service
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year guiding experience
- Valid PdP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Good general bush knowledge of Lowveld area (minimum FGASA level 1 or equivalent knowledge)
- Speciality knowledge of birds/trees a bonus
- First Aid certification
