Position: Mechanical Fitter (Urgent) Location: Helderberg area Industry: Established company in water treatment and chemical dosing industry Salary: R15 000 – R25 000 (CTC) p/m – Salary neg on exp Benefits: Retirement annuity contribution, close for holidays in December & 13th cheque depending on management decisions Working hours: 7:45 – 16h45 (Monday to Thursday) 8:00 to 15:00 on Fridays. Must have a good understanding of mechanical systems and able to troubleshoot and solve unexpected technical issues,. Position reports to the Project Manager Requirements • N6 Mechanical qualification • Relevant trade test qualification • Strong basic technical and engineering abilities. • Proven manufacturing skills, troubleshooting abilities and engineering knowledge. • Minimum of 1 – 3 years’ working experience in site installations, manufacturing & assembly. • Microsoft Office Intermediate • Valid and unendorsed Code 08 driver’s license • Show leadership by effective interaction and communication with clients, coworkers and management levels. • Able to understand blueprints and technical drawings • Must be physical fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces • Sound understanding of an array of tools and technical equipment. • Proficiency with both hand tools and machine tools is fundamental to the role. Skills • Good communication skills – Afrikaans and English • Must be able to work with minimum supervision • Strong leadership and communication skills • Strong hand-eye coordination with a mechanical aptitude. • Enjoy practical and manual work and be able to work in a pressurized environment • Excellent observational skills. • Self-motivated and meticulous attention to detail • Proactive and excellent problem-solving skills • Deadline driven. • Adhere to safety protocol. • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively • Must have sober habits • Willingness to work overtime when required • Must be a team player
