About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. As a key member of our recruitment company, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and exceeding client expectations. With a strong background in civil engineering infrastructure, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional results and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultation with the client or client’s authorized representative
- Inspection of the project
- Developing and defining the scope of work where required
- Preliminary investigation, planning, and a level of design appropriate to allow decisions on feasibility
- Assessment of existing infrastructural elements with the view of informing the project on options for integrating existing works with proposed new works
- Consultation with authorities having rights or powers of sanction as well as consultation with the public and stakeholder groups
- Advice to the client as to regulatory and statutory requirements, including environmental management and the need for surveys, analysis, tests, and site or other investigations, as well as approvals, where such are required for the completion of the report
- Searching for, obtaining, investigating, and collating available data, drawings, and plans relating to the works
- Investigating financial and economic implications relating to the proposals or feasibility
- Assisting the client to develop timeframes for next stages of the project
- Implementing projects from stage 1 to completion
- Understanding construction contracts (GCC, JBCC)
- Report writing and presentation
- Managing a team of 5 or more
- Maintaining a reliable driver’s license (Code 8/10) with a suitable vehicle
Requirements
- B-Tech / BSc / Eng / Civil Engineering degree
- At least 5 years’ experience in civil engineering infrastructure projects
- Own reliable vehicle is an added advantage
