About the Role

The Purchasing & Procurement Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining procurement policies, procedures, and ethical purchasing standards within a remote hospitality environment. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, receiving, and supplier management, to ensure timely ordering and delivery of all operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and ethical purchasing standards
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company controls, audit requirements, and operational standards
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, receiving, and supplier management
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements with suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of all operational requirements
  • Manage procurement budgets and expenditure effectively
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
  • Produce accurate procurement, stock, and cost reports
  • Oversee inventory management, stock takes, and stores operations
  • Ensure effective stock control across all departments including: Food (fresh, frozen, and dry goods), Beverages, Cleaning chemicals and consumables, Maintenance supplies, fuel, gas, and tools, Operating equipment and stationery
  • Ensure critical operational items remain adequately stocked at all times
  • Lead, train, supervise, and develop the stores and procurement team
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and inventory management processes

Requirements

  • RSA ID and legal residence essential
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role (hospitality experience preferred)
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and budgeting skills
  • Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Sage X3 essential
  • HMS Infor experience advantageous
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
