About the Role

HotelJobs is recruiting on behalf of a well-established luxury hospitality portfolio for an experienced and results-driven Sales Executive. This position is open to candidates based in KwaZulu-Natal, Johannesburg, or Cape Town. Candidates located in KwaZulu-Natal will be office-based at the company’s Hillcrest offices, while candidates based in Johannesburg or Cape Town will be considered for remote working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a portfolio of trade clients, including tour operators, travel agents, and DMCs, both locally and internationally.
  • Drive revenue growth and accommodation occupancy across the property portfolio through targeted sales activity, compelling presentations, and diligent account management.
  • Participate in the full sales cycle, from new business prospecting through to booking confirmation, as well as cross-selling across the broader portfolio.
  • Negotiate contracts and renewals with clients.
  • Attend trade shows and FAM trips.
  • Provide client training and prepare market and competitor reports.
  • Maintain and grow a structured client database using CRM systems.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by supporting the Head of Sales with reporting and business insights.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar sales role within the luxury travel or hospitality industry.
  • Formal qualification in Sales or a related field (advantageous).
  • An existing network of trade contacts within the travel industry.
  • Experience working with tour operators, travel agents, and/or destination management companies.

  • ZAR 35 000 – ZAR 40 000 gross per month, depending on experience.
