About the Role

The Senior Lecturer in Building and Human Settlement Development position at Nelson Mandela University is an exciting opportunity for a qualified academic to contribute to the development of knowledge and skills in the field of Human Settlements Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, developing, and facilitating learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as contributing to research and innovation in the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching, instruction, guidance, and facilitation of learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Assisting and supporting students in their learning.
  • Refining and developing new learning programmes and modules.
  • The professional development of teaching practice and reflecting on the impact of teaching practices on student learning.
  • Creating new knowledge through own research and contributing to Departmental research output in accredited journals.
  • Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
