About the Role
Farm Manager SA is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our large-scale commercial farm equipment. We are looking for a skilled tradesperson with a strong background in agricultural mechanics, mechanical electrics, and construction. As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians, managing projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of our farm’s machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage workshops and ensure efficient use of resources
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve equipment issues
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs
Requirements
- Trade tested diesel mechanic or equivalent qualification
- At least 5 years of mechanical experience on a large-scale commercial operation
- Thorough knowledge of Agricultural mechanics
- Solid background in mechanical electrics and basic understanding of construction
- Computer Literate
- Must be honest, reliable, and hardworking
- Strong management & organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to motivate a team
- Valid Driver’s license
- Valid passport
Qualifications
- Trade tested diesel mechanic or equivalent qualification (required)
- At least 5 years of mechanical experience on a large-scale commercial operation (required)
