About the Role

Delaire Graff Estate is seeking a highly skilled Receptionist/Switchboard Operator to join their team, providing exceptional guest experience and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be able to welcome guests with kindness, warmth, and sincerity while engaging them in information about the estate’s facilities, art, and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure guests are acknowledged upon entry and departure from the reception area.
  • Engage with guests providing information related to the estate, its facilities, art, and experiences.
  • Conduct estate tours with guests.
  • Operate telephone and switchboard service for all calls as required.
  • Refer calls and provide assistance to the appropriate person depending on the nature of the call.
  • Compile and update data related to the area of activity.
  • Complete and distribute information that needs to be communicated around the estate.
  • Ensure lunch and dinner booking sheets from the restaurant are communicated to the appropriate departments.
  • Keep management informed of all concerns raised by guests.

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Hospitality certificate (desired)
  • 1-2 years previous reception experience (desirable)
