About the Role
Hoseki Restaurant is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the efficient operation and profitability of our establishment, as well as In-Room Dining and the Pool Terrace at the Lodges & Spa. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Head Chef to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations of full portfolio
- Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction
- Engage efficiently and accurately with guests’ needs and complaints
- Work alongside Sommelier compiling the wine & beverage list and recommending wine to guests, ensuring wine lists in rooms are updated
- Staff recruitment and effective management (including rosters and overtime)
- Responsible for stock purchasing, managing stock budget, and flow, working according to the budget
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
Requirements
- Grade 12, preferably a tertiary qualification in Food Services Management/Hospitality
- 2-3 years previous Restaurant Manager experience in 5* or luxury establishments
- Wine certification course or similar experience alignment
- Previous Gourmet Guide and Eat Out aligned fine dining experience (preferential)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable dealing with distinguished clientele
- Excellent food and wine knowledge
- Excellent ability to pay attention to detail
- High stress tolerance and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent planning and organizing skills
- Reliable, flexible, adaptable, and self-disciplined
- High standards of ethical conduct
