Job Description

About the Role

Hoseki Restaurant is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the efficient operation and profitability of our establishment, as well as In-Room Dining and the Pool Terrace at the Lodges & Spa. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Head Chef to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily operations of full portfolio
Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction
Engage efficiently and accurately with guests’ needs and complaints
Work alongside Sommelier compiling the wine & beverage list and recommending wine to guests, ensuring wine lists in rooms are updated
Staff recruitment and effective management (including rosters and overtime)
Responsible for stock purchasing, managing stock budget, and flow, working according to the budget
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations

Requirements

Grade 12, preferably a tertiary qualification in Food Services Management/Hospitality
2-3 years previous Restaurant Manager experience in 5* or luxury establishments
Wine certification course or similar experience alignment
Previous Gourmet Guide and Eat Out aligned fine dining experience (preferential)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable dealing with distinguished clientele
Excellent food and wine knowledge
Excellent ability to pay attention to detail
High stress tolerance and ability to work under pressure
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Reliable, flexible, adaptable, and self-disciplined
High standards of ethical conduct
