About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee our housekeeping team and ensure that our facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training and supervising housekeeping staff, implementing cleaning procedures, and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures and safety protocols
• Assign and delegate cleaning tasks to team members
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure they meet cleanliness standards
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and reorder supplies as needed
• Handle staff scheduling and conduct performance reviews
• Respond to guest complaints and requests in a professional and timely manner
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction
• Follow company policies and procedures related to safety and cleanliness standards

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• 3 years of experience in housekeeping or related field
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
