About the Role

The Parts Manager role at Jobs 4 All in Cape Town is a critical position that requires strong leadership and management skills to drive business growth and success. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the parts department, building relationships with internal stakeholders, and driving sales and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Dealer Principal in a constructive manner, ensuring that the internal department relationships are properly maintained.
  • Personally manage work efficiently.
  • Build sound relationships with other departments.
  • Keep in line with the parts department procedures.
  • Achieve budgeted turnover & profit margins for parts.
  • Achievement of agreed targets for parts.
  • Management of parts inventory to ensure optimum economic inventory levels.
  • Achievement of an ongoing increase in new customer and the retention thereof (increase in market share).
  • Achievement of an efficient operation through establishing and meeting objectives in parts division on operating policies & standards as per dealer standards programme.
  • Management of Company assets. i) equipment ii) Debtors queries and collection iii) Management of staff.
  • Responsible for parts related stock takes.
  • Responsible for parts related communication.
  • Liaise with the company’s national distribution division regarding all relevant parts issues.
  • Liaise with National Parts Manager to optimise dealer stock levels.
  • Visit customers where required/necessary.
  • Standby/overtime in place of absent staff members and or per operational requirements.
  • Developing and implementing action plans.
  • Development of an effective parts marketing strategy.
  • You may be required to perform other duties that may reasonably be required by Management.
  • Ensure that all tasks performed comply with minimum standards required by the company.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety rules are adhered to at all times.
  • Set an example in terms of time keeping, professionalism and ethical conduct.
  • Ensure a good working relationship with colleagues and peers.
  • Encourage colleagues to do the same.
  • Support peers and learners, do concrete skills transfer and promote an atmosphere of high levels of productivity.
  • Promote wellness and encourage confidence in job analysis and understanding within the team.
  • Always wear correct PPE.
  • Keep all components which are worked on in proper assembly order and cleaned prior to assembly.
  • Maintain high levels of good housekeeping.
  • Check, maintain and report on any out-of-line items such as OHS / SHE and or other concerns which are deemed ‘outside’ of company policy.
  • Regular attendance at staff meetings is a requirement.

Requirements

  • Matric or higher
  • Minimum 5-8 years experiences in similar managerial role in similar industry preferred
  • Code 8 license
