Job PurposeThe Abattoir Foreman Facilitator is responsible for overseeing daily slaughterhouse operations while facilitating on-the-job training for foremen and operational staff. The role ensures efficient production, compliance with meat safety regulations, humane handling of livestock, and continuous skills development within the abattoir environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational SupervisionOversee daily abattoir activities including livestock receiving, slaughtering, dressing, inspection, and dispatch.Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.Monitor workflow, equipment usage, and staff productivity on the floor.Training & FacilitationFacilitate practical and theoretical training for foremen and abattoir workers.Coach supervisors on leadership, operational control, and compliance practices.Conduct onboarding, refresher training, and upskilling programs.Support the development of supervisory competencies among foremen.Compliance & Food SafetyEnsure adherence to meat safety regulations, hygiene standards, and inspection protocols.Train staff on sanitation procedures, contamination prevention, and proper carcass handling.Reinforce compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.Promote and monitor humane slaughter practices in line with animal welfare standards.Assessment & Performance MonitoringEvaluate trainee competence through observation and structured assessments.Identify performance gaps.
