About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will have completed their B.Com Accounting degree and has 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, with proficiency in accounting software such as Pastel and advanced MS Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process General Ledger entries and reconcile cashbooks
  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register
  • Prepare, reconcile, and submit VAT returns and payments
  • Conduct weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Analyse expenses and financial data
  • Prepare and analyse management reports
  • Assist the Finance Director (FD) and Finance Manager (FM) as needed

Requirements

  • Completed B.Com Accounting degree
  • 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Pastel and advanced MS Excel skills
  • Prior experience with commission calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

About the Role

A well-established company based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team. The role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a stable organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Debtors invoicing and reconciliations
  • Capturing and reconciliation of creditors invoices
  • Cashbook processing and monthly reconciliations
  • Loading and processing payments on electronic banking platforms

  • Preparation and submission of statutory returns, including: EMP201 & EMP501 VAT returns
