About the Role
Shift Electricians are required to maintain optimal working conditions across our facility, ensuring uninterrupted production. The role involves fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance and responding to electrical emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical fault finding on motors, drives, VSDs, PLCs and control systems.
- Repair and maintain all electrical equipment, both low and high voltage.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Attend to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
- Assist with electrical installations, upgrades and new projects.
- Ensure correct use of lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety compliance.
- Complete job cards, maintenance logs and shift reports.
- Liaise with mechanical teams to support plant operation.
Requirements
- Red Seal Electrician qualification (essential).
- Experience working with:
- Motors
- Soft starters
- Drives / VSDs
- PLCs (fault finding experience required)
- Not afraid of working at heights and must be medically fit.
- Minimum 35 years experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
- Ability to work shifts and handle emergency callouts.
