About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Advisor to join our team in Durban, specializing in Commercial Insurance Lines. As a key member of our short-term insurance advisory team, you will be responsible for generating new business leads, conducting comprehensive needs analyses with clients, and providing expert advice on short-term insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
- Source sufficient lead generating opportunities to ensure a healthy income-generating pipeline
- Maintain and update Lead Generation Matrix on a weekly basis
- Conduct comprehensive needs analysis with all prospective clients
- Perform in line with business expectations on agreed key performance areas
- Stay up-to-date and fully informed on product comparisons with opposition products
- Be proficient in short-term insurance products and stay abreast of all product changes and enhancements
- Maintain compliance with regulations, standards, and professional guidelines and ethics
- Develop and maintain appropriate skills and knowledge to provide specialist advice
- Meet the required dress code and professional appearance

Qualifications
- Matric/Grade 12 (Essential)
- FAIS Credits (min 30 credits in short-term insurance if date of first appointment is before 2010); or if date of first appointment is on or after 01/01/2010, a fully recognized qualification as per the FSCA qualification list
- Beneficial FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives (RE5)
- Beneficial 12 CPD points if registered for 1 line of business, 18 CPD points if registered for both commercial and personal lines
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in selling short-term insurance (commercial and personal lines) either as a broker agent or tied agent
Salary & Benefits
Basic Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 per month
Retainer Allowances up to R60,000/annum
Uncapped Commission
Traveling Allowances up to R5000/month
Cellphone Allowances/month
Technology Provisions (Laptop and Cellphone)
Performance incentives and Bonuses/month
Benefits (Medical Aid/Pension Fund & Death and disability cover)
