About the Role

The IT Support Intern role provides an opportunity for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our IT department. As an IT Support Intern, you will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to our IT team, assisting with various tasks and projects, and gaining valuable experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line IT support and assist users with hardware, software, and system-related issues.
  • Manage company cellphones and related administration on the Vodacom Portal.
  • Maintain and update IT asset registers, including users, storeroom assets, and vendor deliveries.
  • Assist with IT asset disposals and ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Manage the IT Helpdesk by logging, tracking, and processing IT support queries.
  • Support IT procurement processes, including sourcing and tracking IT equipment and consumables.
  • Assist with the maintenance and administration of SharePoint platforms.
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of Power Flow systems.
  • Assist with Power Apps maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Support Power BI maintenance, reporting, and dashboard updates.
  • Assist with AI-related system maintenance and technology support.

Requirements

Basic understanding of IT support, systems administration, and Microsoft platforms is advantageous. The following qualifications are required:

  • Matric.
  • National Diploma / Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, or related qualification.
