About the Role

Our client, a leading foundry, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various equipment and machinery within the foundry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on air valves, cylinders, and lines
  • Identify and repair hydraulic valves, cylinders, and lines
  • Maintain and repair conveyors
  • Perform maintenance on motor, gearboxes, and couplings
  • Operate industrial grinders for sand blasting purposes
  • Operate presses and sand mills
  • Safely operate cranes and compressors
  • Monitor and maintain induction furnaces

Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Trade Tested Fitter (preferably red seal)
  • Minimum N3 Mechanical Skills
  • Minimum of 3 Years experience in a foundry / heavy engineering environment
