About the Role
The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of civil engineers in designing and drafting civil engineering services, including road infrastructure. The successful candidate will also be involved in preparing documentation for submission to contractors, compiling reports for municipal approval, and liaising with contractors to ensure design instructions are issued effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and drafting of civil engineering services, including road infrastructure
- Preparation of documentation for submission to contractors
- Compilation of Outline Services Reports for submission to municipalities
- Compilation of Stormwater Management Reports for municipal approval
- Liaising with contractors and issuing design instructions
- Design coordination with other professional disciplines
- Overseeing and coordinating the drawing office
Requirements
- BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering
- 6 – 8 years relevant experience
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
- Experience with SSA or similar design software
