About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner (OHNP) to provide after-hours occupational health services in the Boston, Bellville area. This moonlighting role is ideal for a practitioner looking for flexible, supplementary hours (evenings/weekends).
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting pre-employment and periodic medical surveillance as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) 85 of 1993.
- Performing and interpreting Audiometry, Spirometry, and Vision screening (certification required).
- Managing minor Injuries on Duty (IOD) and emergency primary care.
- Ensuring clinic compliance with COIDA (Claims) and medical records management.
- Drug and alcohol screening (non-DOT; company policy based).
Requirements
- Diploma or BTech in Occupational Health Nursing
- Active SANC registration as an OHNP
- Valid certificates in Audiometry and Spirometry (essential)
- Minimum 2–3 years post-qualification OHNP experience
- Knowledge of OHSA, COIDA, BCEA
