Cape Town City Centre: Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner (OHNP) – Moonlighting

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner (OHNP) to provide after-hours occupational health services in the Boston, Bellville area. This moonlighting role is ideal for a practitioner looking for flexible, supplementary hours (evenings/weekends).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting pre-employment and periodic medical surveillance as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) 85 of 1993.
  • Performing and interpreting Audiometry, Spirometry, and Vision screening (certification required).
  • Managing minor Injuries on Duty (IOD) and emergency primary care.
  • Ensuring clinic compliance with COIDA (Claims) and medical records management.
  • Drug and alcohol screening (non-DOT; company policy based).

Requirements

  • Diploma or BTech in Occupational Health Nursing
  • Active SANC registration as an OHNP
  • Valid certificates in Audiometry and Spirometry (essential)
  • Minimum 2–3 years post-qualification OHNP experience
  • Knowledge of OHSA, COIDA, BCEA
