About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join our team in Pretoria, specializing in defended foreclosure matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation administration and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative tasks relevant to a defended foreclosure department
  • Draft and process legal documents under attorney supervision, including motions, pleadings, notices, sheriff’s letters, and other litigation-related documentation
  • Manage case files and documentation, ensuring all files are current and well-organized
  • Coordinate with legal professionals to ensure timely filings, court appearances, reporting, and feedback to clients
  • Provide effective communication with clients, counterparts, and defendants

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Litigation Secretary in defended foreclosure matters
  • Experience specifically with defended foreclosure cases, preferably involving Standard Bank
  • Proficiency in My Attorneys and CACS (bank-related systems)
  • Experience using GhostPractice
  • Familiarity with Caselines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
