About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join our team in Pretoria, specializing in defended foreclosure matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation administration and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative tasks relevant to a defended foreclosure department
- Draft and process legal documents under attorney supervision, including motions, pleadings, notices, sheriff’s letters, and other litigation-related documentation
- Manage case files and documentation, ensuring all files are current and well-organized
- Coordinate with legal professionals to ensure timely filings, court appearances, reporting, and feedback to clients
- Provide effective communication with clients, counterparts, and defendants
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Litigation Secretary in defended foreclosure matters
- Experience specifically with defended foreclosure cases, preferably involving Standard Bank
- Proficiency in My Attorneys and CACS (bank-related systems)
- Experience using GhostPractice
- Familiarity with Caselines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
