About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Stock Controller/Storeman to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s stock levels, ensuring accurate tracking of materials, tools, equipment, and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Track materials, tools, equipment, and assets
- Report discrepancies to management and process warranties with suppliers
- Deal with suppliers, order stock, and store sensitive or fragile equipment correctly
- Identify fast-moving stock and ensure consistent supply
- Coordinate deliveries to the branch in Kloof
- Maintain accurate records and work independently
- Proactively contribute to ensuring the profitability of the company
Requirements
- Completed Matric
- 2-3 years experience in stock and stores control within a technical, electrical or engineering environment
- Exceptional experience in tracking materials, tools, equipment and assets
- Experience in inventory management systems such as SAP, Syspro, etc
- Ability to work independently and accurately keep records
- Proactive approach to ensuring the profitability of the company
