Centurion: Finance Systems & Transformation Lead (Contract)

About the Role

Our client, a leading organisation in the renewable energy sector, is undergoing a significant finance transformation and is seeking a Finance Systems & Transformation Lead to drive this strategic initiative. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with hands-on systems and transformation experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead finance systems transformation initiatives, including ERP enhancement and optimisation
  • Drive the standardisation and improvement of Group financial structures, including the Chart of Accounts
  • Oversee data cleansing, validation, and integrity across multiple entities
  • Improve financial reporting frameworks (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Rebuild and align subledgers, fixed asset registers, and supporting reconciliations
  • Ensure IFRS compliance and audit-ready financial data
  • Develop and manage migration documentation, mapping, and governance processes
  • Support testing, validation, and user adoption of new system processes

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CA(SA) highly advantageous
  • Experience: 8+ years experience in financial accounting, group reporting, or finance transformation
  • Proven experience in ERP systems, finance systems optimisation, or migration projects
  • Experience working in multi-entity environments with consolidation exposure
  • Strong background in financial data clean-up and process improvement

Qualifications

  • Advanced IFRS knowledge (including IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 16, IAS 2)
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger, AP/AR, and Fixed Asset processes
  • Experience with systems such as Xero and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous
