About the Role
The Creditors Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end creditors process, ensuring timely and accurate capturing of supplier invoices, and managing a team of 20 staff members. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end creditors process (invoice receipt to payment)
- Ensure timely and accurate capturing of supplier invoices
- Monitor payment cycles and ensure adherence to agreed terms
- Review and approve payments
- Advise on and initiate changes necessary to process and procedures
- Ensure compliance to company policies
- Manage the vendor Masterfile
- Review and approve forex P&L journals
- Support, motivate, deploy, and train a team of 20 staff members
- Handle escalated queries and disputes
- Manage internal and external audit requests in accounts payable and prepare audit schedules
- Keep abreast of changes in relevant ACT and Standards (IFRS, VAT, POPI Act)
- Work hand in hand with Procurement in respect of trade vendor vetting
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Balance sheet recons for all account payable related accrual accounts
- Monitor repayments of SED loans
- Prepare daily and weekly cashflow forecasts and actuals
- Check and issue requisitions in line with approval matrix
- Group reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Requirements
- Completed B. Com degree or diploma in accounting/finance is essential
- Minimum 5 years accounts payable experience
- MS Office and above average Excel skills are essential
- SAP B1 experience is preferred
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation
- Deadline-driven and able to work efficiently under pressure

- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.) are not required for this role.
