About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring food and related products, while ensuring product availability and managing costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure food and related products competitively
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier agreements
  • Monitor stock levels and forecast purchasing requirements
  • Maintain supplier relationships and ensure service delivery
  • Work closely with sales, warehouse, and operations teams
  • Ensure product availability while managing costs and margins

Requirements

  • Proven buying/procurement experience within food distribution, FMCG, hospitality supply, or catering environments
  • Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Excellent understanding of stock control, pricing, and product sourcing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong administrative and analytical skills

Qualifications

Relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field is advantageous.
