About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring food and related products, while ensuring product availability and managing costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure food and related products competitively
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier agreements
- Monitor stock levels and forecast purchasing requirements
- Maintain supplier relationships and ensure service delivery
- Work closely with sales, warehouse, and operations teams
- Ensure product availability while managing costs and margins
Requirements
- Proven buying/procurement experience within food distribution, FMCG, hospitality supply, or catering environments
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
- Excellent understanding of stock control, pricing, and product sourcing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong administrative and analytical skills
Qualifications
Relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field is advantageous.
