Employer Description Coastal Holiday Flats Job Description Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all technical, operational and administrative aspects of property maintenance. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills and an Electrician Trade Test qualification. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Operations Conduct routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and structural systems. Perform preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with safety standards. Respond promptly to breakdowns, emergencies and guest-related maintenance requests. Supervise staff and ensure quality workmanship. Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs and compliance checks. Prepare reports on maintenance activities, costs and asset performance. Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations. Procurement & Inventory Manage stock levels of tools, equipment and consumables. Source, order and track supplies and spare parts. Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing. Team Leadership Supervise maintenance staff and allocate tasks effectively. Provide training and guidance to ensure high standards of work. Schedule shifts and manage overtime requirements. Qualifications Qualified Electrician Trade Test ( essential ). Proven experience in property or hospitality maintenance management Must reside in Durban Skills Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building services and safety compliance. Ability to work shifts and respond to urgent issues outside of standard hours. Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills Benefits 50% Provident Fund contribution
