Job Description

Buyer (FMCG) – China (Fully remote position to be based in China)

An exciting opportunity exists for a Student/Junior candidate to step into the world of FMCG Buying on an international scale and contribute to strategic procurement decisions. A South African based FMCG Powerhouse is seeking a junior candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset who can proactively source suppliers at the best rates. This is a performance-driven role, and the candidate will be measured on results and contribution to the business.

Basic Job Requirements:

Fluent in Mandarin and English essential
Recent graduate or final-year student in a relevant field – Supply Chain Management/Procurement or Business Administration/International Business studies
Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

KPA’s:

Source, negotiate, and manage FMCG suppliers in China.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of quality products.
Collaborate with the South African team to align procurement strategy with business objectives.
Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.

Salary to be determined based on market rates
