About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team in Kempton Park, Gauteng. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products in our manufacturing industry client.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Use precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product compliance.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records.
- Report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure that all outgoing products meet customer quality standards.
- Liaise with customers during audits or quality-related visits, representing the company professionally.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards and procedures.
- Promote continuous improvement in production and quality assurance processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing quality control/inspection role (preferably tubing, metal fabrication, or similar).
- Experience with steel or piping.
- Strong knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, especially in customer-facing situations.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Must have own, reliable transport.
- Matric (Grade 12) a technical qualification or trade certificate would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems preferred.
