Job Description
1. Livestock Management
Oversee the daily care, feeding, and management of cattle.
Monitor herd health and condition and coordinate veterinary care when required.
Implement and manage breeding, calving, and herd improvement programs.
Maintain accurate livestock records, including births, deaths, vaccinations, treatments, and movements.
Ensure proper nutrition and feeding schedules for different herd groups.
2. Farm Operations Management
Plan and manage daily farm operations and activities.
Supervise pasture rotation and grazing management to ensure optimal land use.
Ensure water systems, fencing, and infrastructure are maintained.
Manage feed production, storage, and procurement where required.
Oversee farm equipment usage and ensure proper maintenance.
3. Staff Supervision
Supervise and manage farm workers and general labour staff.
Allocate daily tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently.
Provide training and guidance on livestock handling and farm procedures.
Ensure staff follow health and safety regulations.

- Experience supervising farm labour teams.
