- Basic Salary: R110,000 per month
- Cell phone Allowance: R1,500

Overview
Our client is a global engineering and technology organisation specialising in electrical rotating machinery, industrial power systems, and advanced automation solutions for heavy industry. They support major mining operations with high?performance electrical systems, OEM?agnostic control solutions, and engineered upgrades that enhance safety, reliability, and productivity.
They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee engineering and automation projects within mining environments. This role requires strong technical understanding, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver complex projects in demanding site conditions.
About the Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing multidisciplinary engineering projects across mining operations. This includes managing timelines, budgets, teams, and client expectations while ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
This is a high?impact role suited to someone who thrives in fast?paced, technical environments and can confidently manage multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Lead end?to?end project management for electrical, automation, and engineering upgrade projects.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate internal engineering teams, field service teams, and external contractors.
- Ensure all project activities comply with safety, engineering, and quality standards.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for mining clients.
- Provide progress updates, manage expectations, and ensure alignment with operational requirements.
- Build strong working relationships with site leadership, engineering teams, and OEM partners.
Technical Oversight
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and integration of electrical and control systems.
- Ensure technical documentation, drawings, and project records are accurate and up to date.
- Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
Financial & Reporting
- Track project costs and manage budgets.
- Prepare project reports, progress dashboards, and close?out documentation.
- Ensure all deliverables meet contractual and compliance requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven Project Management experience in the mining sector (essential).
- Experience managing engineering, electrical, or automation?related projects.
- Strong understanding of mining operations, site protocols, and safety standards.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in high?pressure environments.
- Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder?engagement skills.
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to mining sites.
Qualifications (advantageous):
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial).
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
