About the Role

A busy restaurant in Durban is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee the overall management and daily operations of the establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of managing high-volume environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily store operational requirements are met
  • Supervise staff and delegate tasks effectively
  • Maintain smooth running of front of house and back of house operations
  • Oversee store hygiene, maintenance, health, and safety requirements
  • Monitor beverage cost, food costs, and stock control to ensure they fall within specified ranges
  • Be on duty for busy shifts, weekends, and all functions
  • Foster effective communication between staff and management
  • Issue reports timeously

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in managing high-volume environments is preferable
  • Strong leadership ability
