About the Role

Safari JOBS is recruiting for multiple practical, hands-on staff members for an exciting bush-based game lodge transformation project in Limpopo. This opportunity is ideally suited to candidates currently working in farm, grounds, maintenance, workshop, construction, or general labour roles, as well as recently qualified trade candidates eager to apply their skills in a dynamic safari environment. The successful candidates will enjoy working with their hands, take pride in contributing wherever needed, and be excited by the opportunity to grow alongside a property undergoing major development and improvement ahead of its planned relaunch as an exciting new safari offering in late 2026 / early 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with general property maintenance and upkeep
  • Supporting bush and grounds maintenance across the property

• Grass cutting, mowing, slashing, bush clearing, and vegetation control

• Tree felling, trimming, pruning, and general landscaping support

• Road maintenance, road clearing, and general access route upkeep

  • Assisting with firebreak creation and maintenance
  • Supporting building, construction, upgrade, and infrastructure projects

• Assisting with installation, repair, and maintenance tasks in line with trade background

• Helping with workshop, tools, equipment, and machinery care

  • Operating tractors, TLBs, excavators, front-end loaders, or other machinery where applicable
  • Assisting with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, refrigeration, mechanical, or solar-related work where relevant
  • Supporting staff village, guest area, back-of-house, and infrastructure development projects
  • Working safely, responsibly, and with respect for the surrounding bush environment
  • Helping wherever needed during busy periods and project phases
  • Taking initiative and showing willingness to learn new practical skills over time

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic accommodation

  • Split of pooled monthly gratuities – once lodge becomes operational
  • Staff transport to the nearest main town, approx. 40 minutes away, can be arranged when required, at a cost of R300.00 per one-way trip
  • Work/leave cycle: 7 consecutive days off per month, plus 15 leave days per annum
