About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Rustenburg, South Africa. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on site. You will work closely with clients to ensure their electrical systems are running efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Inspection and Diagnosis
- Do Planned & help with Maintenance on machines in a manner that promotes reliability with total cost saving to the Client.
- Ensure proper wiring, connection, and configuration of electrical components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and implement timely repairs.
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and relevant departments to resolve complex electrical issues.
- Arrange / request all spares required in a pro-active manner.
- Inspection on the Machines and Sign-off.
- Follow & adhere to all Mine Rules & Procedures.
- Help to identify Training needs of people on Site and communicate with Foreman.
Requirements
- Minimum of Grade 12 Certificate
- Must have completed an Apprenticeship, and be in possession of a recognized appropriate Trade
- Test Certificate (Section 13 and or 26)
- Must have at least 3 years experience as a Diesel/Auto electrician/Millwright in an underground mechanized mining environment
- Must have at least 3 years experience in the maintenance of TMM, LHDs, Dump Trucks, Drill rigs and Roof bolter equipment in an underground mining environment
- Must be in possession of a valid Certificate of Fitness (Red Ticket)
- Valid Code 08 Drivers License
