About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wholesale Junior Manager – Meat Traders to join our team at Number Two Piggeries in Queenstown. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading by example on the floor, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate a team of sales staff to achieve sales targets
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share
- Maintain accurate records and reports using ERP or point-of-sale systems
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues promptly
- Oversee scheduling and staff management to ensure efficient operations
Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in a wholesale or retail environment, preferably meat/food/FMCG
- Proven sales or customer-facing experience
- At least 1–2 years in a senior, supervisory or team leader role; exposure to scheduling or overseeing staff is essential
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience on an ERP or point-of-sale/stock management system will be an advantage
