Enselsrust: General Operations Manager (Hospitality)

About the Role

The General Operations Manager (Hospitality) is a critical role that oversees the full hospitality function, support services, and gaming operations of Enselsrust. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive annual business plan to deliver revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
• Maintain strict standards for property cleanliness, hygiene, and implement a forward-thinking maintenance/capex programme.
• Ensure adherence to legislative requirements and Gaming Board regulations.
• Manage B-BBEE strategies to achieve Level 2 status.
• Oversee budgets, implement profit improvement plans, and control costs to ensure business sustainability.
• Build and maintain sound relationships with employees, guests, unions, and community leaders.
• Manage direct reports and staff in a professional, fair manner to ensure superior performance and clear objective setting.
• Implement customer care programs and a focused marketing/promotions calendar to exceed guest expectations.

Requirements

• Matric/Grade 12
• Essential business, hotel, or hospitality management degree
• Minimum of 8 years in hospitality, gaming, or retail
• At least 5 years at a senior management level
• Strong financial acumen and commercial flair
• Proven leadership and critical attention to detail

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license
• Ability to meet regulatory requirements of the respective gaming boards
