About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Import Controller to join our team in Germiston, responsible for overseeing all import processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Export process knowledge and cross-border legislation (BLNS and Zambia) expertise
- Preparing and validating cross-border documentation
- Understanding of INCO TERMS and Import and Export Documentation
- Ability to work with service provider rates and apply these rates accurately
- Bond Store clearances and Inter-branch transfers
- Resolving queries and following strict SLAs
- Preparation of documents for Waste Tyre Levy Claims
- Management of PRCC knowledge and updating the register as needed
- Assistance with SARS audits when required
- Creation and update of processes and SOP’s
Requirements
- Basic Export/Import Training (certificate or diploma)
- At least 3 Years in an Import/Export Environment
- Grade 12 qualification
- Good organisational and problem solving skills
- Ability to work as a Team
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- The ability to work under pressure
Qualifications
- SAGE Evolution knowledge (preferable)
- Shipshape and Trade Cloud knowledge will be advantageous
