About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Field Guide to deliver exceptional safari experiences in our professionally run wilderness environment. As a passionate, conservation-driven individual, you will thrive in nature, enjoy engaging with guests, and commit to providing safe, educational, and memorable wildlife encounters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct guided game drives and bush walks following all safety standards
- Share engaging, educational knowledge on wildlife, birdlife, flora, and ecosystems
- Deliver excellent guest hosting, ensuring memorable and professional experiences
- Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance on gamedrive vehicles
- Uphold ethical wildlifeviewing principles and lodge/reserve protocols
- Assist with lodge duties when required
- Report unusual sightings, behaviour, or operational concerns
Requirements
- FGASA Level 1 or higher
- Valid First Aid Level 1
- CATHSSETA/SASETTA Rifle Handling
- Valid Drivers Licence + PDP
- DEAT/THETA registration (advantageous)
- Previous guiding experience beneficial
- Strong communication and guest interaction skills
